North Delta is starting a weekly news show. It will cover stories about what is going on at North Delta. Students are needed to be anchors, interviewers, filming, editing and sound. Interested students come to Mr. Schaeferle’s room 1109 tomorrow after school. All students who signed up for the film club please come to the meeting.

Student 2: But how do I pre-order a yearbook?
Student 1: It’s simple! You can add it onto your student fees or go down to the office at any point throughout the school year to pre-order.
Student 2: Wow! I’d love to make sure my pictures make it in too.
Student 1: You can! Use the hashtag NDYB2020 to submit your own pictures and follow us at NDSS yearbook to see sneak peeks to what’s becoming of your yearbook.
Interested in going to UBC? Grade 10 to 12 students are invited to the University of British Columbia Info session on Thursday, October 28 during Flex in the theatre. Learn about UBC admission requirements, campus life, tips on how to do your personal UBC profile, new programs at the Vancouver & Okanagan campuses, and much more. Attention grade 12s. A fieldtrip to Burnaby Campus is planned for Wed, October 30th. It’s only open to grade 12s planning on applying to Simon Fraser University. Fieldtrip form and further info has been emailed through ND Career Centre email to your deltalearns accounts. Bring payment and fieldtrip form into the Career Centre on Monday.

Shout out to the NDSS cross country team for representing Husky Pride including Ms. Jhooti at yesterday’s race in pouring rain at Crescent Park. For Junior boys competing was Ryland Mallari who ran the 4 km in 20:26.5. For the Senior boys competing were Jaskaran Takhar who ran the 5.1 km in 21:18.4, Sukhdeep Gill who finished in a time of 22:55.5, and Himsara Weerasekara who ran the race in 25:13.2.
The NDSS cross country team will be competing next Wednesday at the South Fraser Cross Country Championship.
Volleyball intramurals: Hey huskies, are you interested in playing volleyball for fun? Come to the foyer at lunch from Monday, oct 21 to Wednesday Oct 23 to sign up for volleyball intramurals. It’s 1$ per player to play, and minimum 7 players per team, don’t miss your chance!
